The British Deer Society is dedicated to preserving a healthy deer population in balance with the environment. Every day new threats and opportunities arise and our continuing programme of activities means our resources are increasingly stretched. In addition to membership fees and income from sales, we rely on the generosity and goodwill of individuals who share our love for wild deer to help us continue our work.
By making a donation or bequest to the Society you will play a direct role
Different ways to donate
There are a number of different ways in which you can make a donation to the Society
You can either make an online donation with a credit card or send a cheque made payable to 'The British Deer Society' to The British Deer Society, The Walled Garden, Burgate Manor, Fordingbridge, Hampshire SP6 1EF
Apply to us for a Direct Debit form and help us by making regular monthly or annual donations. Knowing that we have regular pledges of donations allows us to help more deer and plan our future strategies. Or call 01425 655434 option 4.
You can instruct your employer to set up a payroll giving scheme, enabling a set amount of your income to be given to the Society each month directly from your salary. This scheme also has income tax benefits for you. Please contact us for further details - 01425 655434 option 4.
Making a Will ensures that your estate is distributed according to your wishes. Without it, your family, friends and the good causes you support may be overlooked. Remembering the British Deer Society in your Will ensures that you can continue protecting deer tomorrow and into the future. All legacy income is spent on direct project work and is not used for administration.
A number of types of legacy are available to you:
Residuary legacy: Where all or part of your estate (after debts, funeral costs and financial gifts are paid) is bequeathed to the British Deer Society.
Pecuniary legacy: Where a specific sum is left to the Society. This can be index-linked to safeguard its future value.
Specific legacy: Where a particular item, such as a piece of jewellery or an antique, is left to the Society to be used or sold.
Reversionary legacy: This allows you to leave assets to a named individual for their lifetime with the balance going to the British Deer Society on their death.
If you would like further information about leaving a bequest to the British Deer Society, please contact us on 01425 655434 option 4 or email email@example.com
However much you decide you can give us, please make sure you sign the Gift Aid declaration if you are eligible. This will enable us to claim back the tax you have paid on our donation from the Treasury, making your contribution to us even more valuable.
Your generosity is key to preserving and protecting our wild deer heritage. Thank you for your donation.
