We will run three more events at BSRC on Bisley ranges. More details follow but meanwhile here are the dates for your diaries.
- Stalkers Shoot Sunday 10th May
- Range Day pm only Sunday 12th July
- Christmas Shoot Sunday 22nd November
We expect to be at several shows again this year and more news follows as dates are confirmed.”
Our show schedule came to an end at Ardingly on October 6. Sadly the organisers of the Biddenden Tractorfest have confirmed that the 2019 show will be their last, but at this stage, it is anticipated that we will continue to be represented at The Kent County, Edenbridge & Oxted, and Ardingly Autumn Shows, with more potentially to be added. Please continue to watch the website for updates.
We are very grateful as always to Sean Woodger, Joe Dale, Daniel Francis and the rest of the team supporting them. This is a key service for both members and the public and a huge amount of work goes into preparing for and running the stand to such a high standard across a range of venues.
Requests for advice
Throughout the year we received a number of requests for information, advice or help, from members of the public and also from the media. We aim where possible to provide a quick and informed response. This requires significant time and effort but the branch is committed to ensuring these requests are addressed promptly and correctly so that the BDS continues to be seen as the appropriate point of call for those with deer-related queries or issues.
Items for the stand
We make our usual request for antlers, skins, or other deer related items for the stand for next year. These really do make the display stand out, and are often exchanged for donations to the BDS. The new show season will be upon us soon, so we are looking to stock up again. You can be assured that items will be very gratefully received by the team.
Finally, a call for all members to please ensure that we have an up to date email address for you on our records as this is the main channel for communication and reminders for events. This really does simplify matters, and the associated cost savings means funds are available for more pressing needs. If your contact details have changed please email email@example.com
