Good evening and welcome to The British Deer Society

Photographing deer - Code of Conduct

It is really great to see wildlife photography gaining interest but equally important to recognise the need to respect the subject and its welfare. Following autumn press reports of people approaching park deer too closely during the rut, so endangering not only their own health but disturbing the animals’ rutting behaviour, BDS has put together a Code of Conduct focusing on best practice for wildlife photography. With Christmas imminent and no doubt new cameras about to be gifted, we hope this will be helpful to budding photographers! View code of Conduct
