Family Membership – Direct Debit

Family Membership includes 2 adults (each with full voting rights) and up to 3 children including age 18 in full-time education and all family members must live at the same address.

One adult will be the primary contact who will receive all correspondence. The primary adult will need to provide their full name, address, date of birth and contact details on the application form. Remaining family members are required to provide their full name and date of birth.

BDS family members receive:

Quarterly magazine, Deer, packed with articles and information from the experts.
Optional membership of one or more local BDS branches offering talks, demonstrations, support, advice, and activity days.
Chance to take part in surveys and research.

Direct Debit – Members paying by direct debit must allow 6 full working days for their payment to be collected before we can confirm and issue your membership pack and number.

Welcome to the British Deer Society’s Family Membership – a comprehensive package tailored for families passionate about deer and wildlife. Our Family Membership caters to 2 adults, each with full voting rights, and up to 3 children, including those aged 18 in full-time education, living under the same roof.

The primary adult, serving as the main contact, will enjoy access to all correspondence. To initiate the application process, the primary adult needs to provide essential details, including their full name, address, date of birth, and contact information. The remaining family members only need to provide their full name and date of birth. As part of the membership, each family member has the option to receive an individual membership card, complete with a unique membership number.

Direct Debit
Please allow 6 full working days for payment processing before we confirm and issue your membership pack and number.

Renewal and Payment Details:
Annual Direct Debit renewals occur shortly after the joining date. Memberships are valid for 12 months, payable annually or in convenient monthly instalments. Monthly Direct Debit payers receive advance notice via email.

Failure to meet instalment payments will result in membership lapse, with opportunities provided to settle outstanding payments and continue enjoying membership benefits.

Gift Aid Declaration:
Maximize your contribution by allowing us to claim tax back through Gift Aid. As a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you give, we can claim an additional 25p from the Inland Revenue. Simply select ‘Yes’ on the form, confirming your UK taxpayer status. Keep us informed if your tax circumstances change.
