I would like to thank you, for running such an enjoyable and enlightening DSC 1 course at Watton last weekend.
You all showed the passion you have for deer and the crucial importance of humane herd management - certainly, before coming on the course, I had no appreciation of the dramatic expansion of the population in this country. Soon, even I will recognise a Sika stag outside Sainsburys.
All the candidates enjoyed the range day and I was very impressed with the high degree of safety awareness that everyone showed. Target shooters have become a bit blasé these days. Good to see BDS take this very seriously.
We were all impressed with the thorough way that that the DSC 1 syllabus is constructed and most importantly taught by you. Keeping our interest and enthusiasm for lymph node diseases by day four - was no mean feat.
The BDS comes over as a very professional, but welcoming organisation. The very detailed handbook and professional approach to NVQ type training is impressive.
Excusing the pun - it shows that you and the BDS are "on top of your game".... I look forward to meeting up with you and your BDS colleagues on a more regular basis.

I just wanted to thank you outside the medium of the feedback forms for running such a good DSC 1 course over the last few weekends. Both J and I learned much more than we thought possible in the time available and you and your team really brought the whole thing to life. In the Army we talk about the importance of the 'atmosphere' of a unit and how it comes from the top; if I may say, I think you got it just right, and that's no mean feat for such a diverse group. As a result I genuinely enjoyed the course, as did my friend J, and I just wanted to tell you that personally. Please pass on my thanks to Dave, who was an excellent 2IC and I really enjoyed the banter with him. All the other presenters and helpers were equally interested and engaging and when I grow up and win the lottery I want to buy a rifle from Steve Bowers. Finally, thanks to your wife for keeping the show on the road.
